Once an elite runner with a 2:20 marathon, Trevor found himself in a battle against time in his 50s—constant pain, nagging injuries, and deep fatigue that no amount of training seemed to fix.
He wasn’t alone.
So many runners over 50 experience the same struggle, pushing through aches and setbacks, wondering if their best running days are behind them.
But with the help of his son, Lindsey Parry, and the Coach Parry team, Trevor transformed his running.
With smarter recovery, strategic strength training, and targeted nutrition, he regained the speed and endurance he thought he’d lost—and by 60, he was running the same times he had at 50.
Today, well into his 70s, he’s still crushing marathons in under 4 hours and hitting sub-48-minute 10Ks.

The Experts Behind the Brand
Lindsey Parry, co-founder of Coach Parry, has spent his career helping elite and everyday athletes unlock their full potential. A four-time Olympic Games High-Performance Coach for Triathlon South Africa, Lindsey has personally coached athletes in both triathlon and marathon to the Olympics.
But beyond elite sport, Lindsey’s passion lies in helping aging athletes thrive. With a postgraduate degree in Sports Science specializing in rehabilitation and special populations, he’s worked extensively with older runners, developing training and recovery strategies tailored to their unique needs.
Shona Hendricks, who leads the Female Athlete Program at Coach Parry, brings deep expertise in working with peri- and postmenopausal female runners. Through years of research and coaching, she has helped women adapt their training, recovery, and nutrition to continue performing at their best—even as their bodies change.
